What we build
Whole-home renovation
A house taken back to sound structure and rebuilt in an order that keeps trades from undoing each other's work.
What it involves: Whole-home renovation
A full renovation is mostly a sequencing job. Demolition, framing repairs, plumbing and electrical rough-in, inspections, then drywall and finishes, each one booked so the next trade is not waiting.
We start by walking the house with you and writing down what is included, what is an allowance and what is not in the price. When demolition uncovers rot, old wiring or water damage, you see it before it is covered and decide with the options in front of you.
- Walk-through and written scope before any demolition
- Permit drawings and submittals for the renovation
- Rough-in trades scheduled ahead of inspections
- Hidden damage shown to you before it is closed up
- Finish trades sequenced to avoid rework
- Final punch list walked with you
- Can we stay in the house during a renovation in Miami?
- For a room-by-room project, often yes. For a gut renovation, usually not. It depends on whether a kitchen, a bathroom, power and water stay in service, and we plan those weeks with you up front.
- What if you find damage behind the walls?
- We show it to you before it is covered, explain the fix and price it as a change order. Nothing is added to the final bill without a conversation.
Home additions
New square footage tied into your existing house, from the footing to the roofline and the finishes.
What it involves: Home additions
An addition has to meet the old house cleanly: foundation, framing, roof tie-in, and electrical and plumbing extended from the existing systems. In South Florida it also has to be designed and inspected for wind loads.
We line up the drawings and engineering, carry the permit through review, and build in the order the inspections require, so the new room works and looks like it was always there.
- Site review and written scope for the new space
- Engineering and permit drawings coordinated
- Foundation, framing and roof tie-in
- Electrical, plumbing and HVAC extended to the room
- Inspections scheduled at each milestone
- Do you build home additions in Miami and Miami Beach?
- Yes. We build additions across Miami and nearby towns, including Miami Beach, and handle the drawings, permit and inspections that go with them.
- Do I need an engineer for an addition?
- Almost always for new structure in South Florida. We coordinate the engineer and the drawings so the permit application goes in complete.
Structural changes and wall removal
Load-bearing walls opened up with the beam sized and the load carried all the way down to the foundation.
What it involves: Structural changes and wall removal
Taking out a load-bearing wall means more than a header. The beam has to be sized by an engineer, the posts under it need solid bearing, and the load has to reach the foundation. Floors and ceilings get shored while the wall comes out.
We confirm what the wall is carrying, get the engineering and the permit, then shore, remove, set the beam and patch so the opening is finished, not just open.
- Check of what the wall carries before any cutting
- Engineered beam and post sizing
- Temporary shoring during removal
- Permit and structural inspection
- Patch of floor, ceiling and finishes after
- Can you remove a load-bearing wall in my Miami home?
- In most homes, yes, with an engineered beam and a permit. We confirm what the wall carries first and tell you what the opening will take.
Permits, plans and inspections
Drawings, permit submittals and the inspection sequence handled so your project does not stall at the building department.
What it involves: Permits, plans and inspections
Most delays on a residential job start with a permit: a missing drawing, a rejected submittal or an inspection booked out of order. We put the plan set together with the architect or engineer the work needs and track the review.
Once the permit is issued, inspections are scheduled against the build so framing, rough-in and final are signed off before the next stage covers them.
- Review of what your scope requires for drawings
- Coordination with architects and engineers
- Permit application and review follow-up
- Inspections booked at each stage of the build
- Corrections handled with the building department
- Do you pull permits for projects in Miami?
- Yes. We prepare and submit the permit for the work we build and schedule the inspections as the job moves along.
- How long does a permit take?
- It depends on the building department and the scope. Simple work can move quickly; structural work goes through plan review that can take weeks. We build that time into the schedule.
Construction management and trade coordination
One contractor running the schedule, the subcontractors and the budget so you are not managing the job yourself.
What it involves: Construction management and trade coordination
On a multi-trade project, the site should never be waiting on itself. Long-lead items get ordered before the trade that installs them is booked, and each crew arrives when the work ahead of it has passed inspection.
We can run the whole job, or step in for an owner who already has a design and needs someone to manage cost, schedule and the trades on their behalf.
- Schedule built around inspections and lead times
- Subcontractors booked and sequenced
- Material orders tracked against the schedule
- Change orders priced before they are built
- Regular updates on progress and open items
- Can you manage a project my architect already designed?
- Yes. We work with owners, architects and developers, and can take an existing design through pricing, permits and construction.
- Do you take commercial projects too?
- Yes. Our work includes residential, commercial and hospitality projects.
How a project runs
Walk-through
We visit the property, measure and talk through what you want. You get a written scope listing what is included, what is an allowance and what is not in the price.
Plan and permit
Drawings and engineering where the structure needs it, the permit application, and a schedule that includes real review times and material lead times.
Build in order
Demolition, structure, rough-in, inspection, then cover and finish, with each trade booked against the milestone that has to pass before it.
Walk and close
We walk the finished work with you on a written punch list and close out each item before the job is done.

About Brickell Group Construction, LLC.
Brickell Group Construction, LLC. is a general contractor based in Miami. If you were looking at construction companies in Miami because a remodel, an addition or a repair needs more than one trade, that is the work we organize: the written scope, the permit, the subcontractors and the order they show up in.
We act as one point of contact for the owner, and we also work alongside architects and developers when a design already exists. Our projects cover residential, commercial and hospitality work. On homes, that usually means whole-house renovations, additions and structural changes that need engineering and a permit before anything gets opened up.
Homeowners have given us 5.0 stars across 11 Google reviews. From our base in Miami we work in Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Hialeah and North Miami Beach, and north into Broward as far as Fort Lauderdale and Plantation.

Project questions
A question that isn’t here? Call (786) 361-1773 and ask the office.
What kind of construction company is Brickell Group Construction, LLC.?
We are a general contractor in Miami. We run renovations, additions and structural work, and we handle preconstruction, construction management and owner representation on residential, commercial and hospitality projects.
Do you work outside Miami?
Yes. We work in Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Hialeah, North Miami Beach and other nearby towns, and north into Broward as far as Fort Lauderdale and Plantation.
Do I need an architect or engineer for my project?
It depends on the scope. Cosmetic work often does not. Anything that changes the structure, or adds space, usually needs stamped drawings. We tell you at the walk-through and coordinate them if they are needed.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. We prepare the permit for the work we build, follow it through review and schedule inspections at each stage.
How are payments set up on a project?
Residential jobs generally run on a draw schedule: a deposit to start and order materials, then payments tied to completed milestones, with a final amount held until the punch list is done. The exact schedule is written into your contract.
What happens if the scope changes during the job?
The change is written up and priced before it is built, so you approve it knowing the cost and the effect on the schedule.
